Cumulus Quilt 350

I have a Cumulus 350 (older version). I purchsed some 1 inch wide elastic which has button-holes every few inches (see attached image). I created 3 x elastic loops which go around my sleep mat. I then attached some mini-toggles to the quilt, 3 each side, using the fabric tabs already provided by Cumulus. Once my mat is inflated and the elastic loops are fixed, I button one side of the quilt into the elastic loops which keeps it fixed to the sleep mat. If its cold I can button up the other side and if it gets really cold I can button both sides underneath me like a sleeping bag.

I can't remember ever using the top buckle.

the loops on my quilt has only 1 line of stitching holding loop to quilt ,is your better secured.

My older version 150 quilt has a couple of loops on the outside of the footbox. I snagged one of these recently (no idea how and it will have been a complete accident on my part) and had to stitch it back as the snagging had pulled the shell material apart and down was escaping. The loop was only held in by a single row of stitching.

Looking at images of the current version it seems that these loops are no longer present.

Any tall people out there using a Medium version of the 350? How do you find the length? Am 6'2 and can see that they only have the Medium length 'in stock'.

Cheers

EDIT: Should edit this to say that if anyones looking to part ways with their 350 please give me a shout.

My 150 standard medium sits on my brow- I am 179cms, lying straight, on my back. I reckon you should get to about chin coverage on your back.

I bought the quilt 350 this year and had 15cm added

at 6’3” it was perfect for me, I email Culmulus and found them really helpful,

I emailed Cumulus a couple of days ago asking if they could make an extra long bag for me. No reply yet.
Was yours custom made by Cumulus or did someone else add the 15cm?

I’m currently enquiring about customising a quilt 450. It’s rated to -1 comfort and as I sleep quite cold, I’m wondering how to extend this to -10 for occasional winter use...maybe by layering with another quilt? trouble is that it’s already 700g so could do with not piling to many more grams on. Lightweight apex outer?

Valley & Peak do custom outers.
