I ordered some items from him a couple of days ago and am very pleased with them so I wanted to purchase some of his other gear.
However, even though he had such a varied stock list then (and lots of it), his profile now shows "no items for sale".

Was just wondering if anybody knew if he'll be continuing on Ebay or not?

He will be mate, he is away hiking the weekend, and rather than keeping his customers waiting an extra day or 2 for there goods he removes the listings while he isn't available to post them out.
Save him as a seller then you will get a notification when he us back, should be Monday.

That's great news, thanks for letting me know - and yes, I had already saved him when I placed my order as I was impressed by the items he had listed.

This guy is selling some tarps, hammocks and quilts - says he can custom make too.
Is he on here?!! :D

He seems a nice guy too, iv had a few messages with him about his gear!! It's looks well made!
Iv currently got my eye on the 3/4 down under quilt he is selling, if it was box wall construction I would have bid, I'm not sure I no enough about sewn through under quilts and will do some research

Paul,
Would it not be easier and save you a lot of bother just to leave your listings 'live'? I know I wouldn't mind a couple of days wait, especially if ordered over the weekend, but how do others feel about that?

I can see the point if you're away for longer trips, but then you could perhaps put a Holiday Notice up which would explain the delay.

Anyhoo, I really like the Tyvek sacks you sent me during the week and I'll be looking to order more items soon.

Ideally i would Mac but some people are awful picky. Ive noticed in the past that my dispatch score started to drop when i was away weekends and left listings up. This time i was away from Thursday - Sunday so it was the only way. Putting a holiday note is easy when you have a shop but as i dont, i would need to edit each and every listing. Ill get a shop at some point but i dont list enough currently for it to be viable. Glad you liked the sacks. Tyvek is rapidly becoming my favourite material to work with. More sewing tomorrow :)

Iv been telling him this for bloody ages!!!!

Any reasonable person would accept this!!

What about if you get a buy over a weekend your away you mail the buyer, tell him you can't send until Monday and then offer to refund if this is a problem? Weekends are your busiest time so you could be losing good mate mate!!

Its not that simple Steve. If people mark you down on postage in the detailed feedback you can lose your power seller status and ebay top rated status which means you lose a big final fee discount. if im only away saturday sunday then they stay up as i dont post weekends. I only had phone signal in one place for 2 hours in the entire valley in 4 days so emailing people isnt gonna fly

It's a shame that some folk are a bit impatient and would mark your score down. I also didn't realise the seller status worked that way, so I can understand your reasons now.

I look forward to more of your Tyvek products, hopefully including some larger stuff sacks than the 8"x4" I bought already - is that likely?
