I thought I would move this from the this old thing thread so people can get an initial idea of the set up.
3F UL Gear Solid Inner - £43.00 approx. inc postage
225cm x 80cm x120cm (L x W x H)

Initial impressions are good, it pitches pretty tight at around 120cm.
Plenty attention to detail…
Reinforced sections on groundsheet at tie outs:-

Corner pockets (enough for phone and watch, all you need imo):-
Mid point tie-outs halfway up all 4 seams:-

3F solid inner pitched inside the ASTA Mid using A Poles.
Inner with Regular length Neoair.
Space to side of mat with Neoair flush to door – 22cms
Clearance at top and bottom of mat - 16cm (although this is height restricted).
Example of contact with inner using PD600 (this is my biggest sleeping bag so worst case scenario for me). It is touching the walls of the inner, more so at the foot than the head (other Mid inners would be the same?...)
Observations on pitching.
The standard mesh inner for the Asta Mid is 70cm wide (with an offshoot section that is 140cm wide). The 3F is 80cm so to make it fit using a single pole, the pole needed to be offset by around 10cm closer to the entrance. Adjusting the pole this way skews the fly a bit which increases the catenary angle of the rear seams of the fly (hope you understand what i mean by this). The clearance between the seams of the fly and the back seams of the inner is then quite small – they are not touching but the gap is narrow. Clearance between the inner and the fly along the sides and the back is fine - its only restricted on the rear seams.
It may work better using an A frame pole set up, i did try it but ran out of time and need to mess around a bit more. Either way I was happy enough with the fit using the single pole, it may be better with an A pole. I'd be interested in the views of any Khufu or Duomid owners who buy this inner, or any other experience of inners and Mids for that matter.
Weight after adding own bits like shock cord loops, hanging krab etc…
Asta Mid flysheet – 540grams
3F solid inner – 372grams
Peg Bag (6 x Y Beams 90g , 4 x 6inch Eastons 48g, 2 x Ti Crooks 12g) – 142grams
Pole Joiner – 34grams (could be made smaller)
Total: 540g + 372g + 142g + 34g = 1088g
All I need to do now is get out in it!
