I have off loaded some nice gear to my daughter………..so not quite 'sold'………but sometimes frustrating when I see an expensive bit of kit being used and abused in everyday life when in my mind it should be kept for proper 'hill use' :banghead: :(

Ain't that weird :bag:

Bought my Mrs some Brasher hiking boots years back, she's only used them for hiking once, but i find myself getting a bit of a annoying twinge when i see her wearing them for work (teacher) :D

Mind you, i'm the same with mates that buy fast bikes or cars but NEVER visit a track or drive fast o_Oo_O

The most 'offensive' use is that of a Haglofs Barrier Hoody (fabby purple colour :whistling:) - used for lectures every day……..!!
Also a Montane Venture eVent jacket that gets kicked around on the sea shore (Scottish rocks!!) - when she's at SCUBA.
I'm not paying for replacements and she cannot afford to .

Have you ever sold something randomly or through necessity and totally regretted it? :banghead:

I sold my Hexamid Solo Plus tarp (No scree floor) not long back as needed to pay a bill and was skint. :greedy:

Needs must but I really regret it. I loved the shelter and it was the older design with original extended beak that is not made by Zpacks any more unfortunately.

Excellent shelter, very light/compact, small footprint and goes up easily, my favourite shelter to date. Hopefully once/if things are more stable/I'm flush again I will be getting another. :frown:
I sold a mld trailstar , soon regretted it .. ended up buying another

You never had one :D
.
Regret selling my haglofs spitz jackets (his and hers) and around 8 other Haglofs jackets :banghead:
Regret selling my Haglofs Lim 35 ltr pack, best pack ever.
Regret selling my ice axe and crampons (his and hers)
Regret selling my AKto , Laser comp , Rab bags & Alpkit bags.
But needed funds to get the wife thru Uni and didnt know how to use anyhow then.
Realised I only need about 4 jackets anyway so slim my cupboard down too necessities.
Just bought second hand winter axes and crampons this week so happy I can get back out in the white stuff & still got enough camping gear (tho not been used for a while) for 3 of us to start again next spring..

I'd play my violin...only I sold it 'cos I wasnt using it :p

I talk hill walking with my consultant……….you're getting poor value there, Ed :p.

Daughter says the best bit of medicine is the "little old ladies" (patients) - endless amusement, apparently.
Sorry guys, I guess you all just end up as too 'grumpy' when old/ill :troll:

Given prices are now passing north of £80k I am not surprised you regret it. Hopefully it was knackered when you sold it and not a mint example?

I still recall seeing one at a service station in France in the late 80's and loving it. The Renault GTA 'alpine' was another favourite

What a mad mad concept, i'm grateful i live in a world where a car like that can be produced, seems Renault are starting to play it safe more and more these days :(

Crashed my 1st one through a wall the first night i bought it.
No one told me that on the earlier models the handbrake operated the front brakes :banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead::banghead:

Bringing it home i was chuffed to ****** with it, there used to be a really sharp U-turn to get into my driveway, being a youth of course i would use the handbrake rather than a 3 point turn.

Pulled the handbrake on the sud and bam, straight through my neighbours garden wall :(

Cost more to fix the bloody wall than it the did the car.

Weird thing is, my mate had a newer version of the sud that had a handbrake that operated the rear brakes

Hahaha... wait till shes qualified, on nights and she sees them with a raging infection... their strength is inversely proportional to their size  ;)

The Renault was in good nick 88. Just cost a bomb to run and worse it is a south Mediterranean motor. Hated rain bad as capris.
Alfasud was a fun car now quite collectible
In the days when cars were fun
