managed to skive off a wee bit early today so thought seeing as it's nice I'd put the TS copy up in the garden for the first time. Took a bit of fiddling with as I've never used a TS before but once up ohh my word it's ****in huge!! Am sure I could go threes up in it Need to change all the guy lines from the bright orange paracord type stuff that's on it but other than that it's no bad at all

A palace for one if the size is the same as the original

I've had three in mine for a few games of cards and a snifter of whisky

I've got am ASTA mid and inner too but think that be offloaded as it's a bit fiddly to set up with the inner. Have one of those wee one person knock off jobbies on the way as well along with a trekkertent drift for when out with the GF, we'll see how long that takes to arrive!!

Yup, i put three tents worth of those stakes in the recycling. Quite tempted by the new 3f one and two man tents and perhaps a solid inner for the knot sl5 copy and .....

What would be the best way (quickest and easiest) to attach a few loop points on the inside of my TS copy so I can attach cord from my bug bivvy to keep it elevated? It wont be taking any load. I thought maybe of using tenacious tape or even a squidge of gaffer tape.

Tenacious tape won't stick to silnylon. Easiest is to hand stitch the loops on to the seams. That's what I did on my Asta though I had a local tailor go over it with his sewing machine.

Was hoping not to lug it to my local tailor, she ok at clothes but gets a bit lost with anything else!! Just out of curiosity what would you use if you ripped silnylon?

Sew gros-grain loops to a piece of silnylon. Glue silnylon to the TS with SilNett. That way you can put the loops away from the seams or on the seams - wherever suits where you need them.

Anything a Palestinian street tailor can do, she can do! As I said, all I did was hand stitch the loops where I wanted and then told him to go back and forth a couple of times over the ribbon and between the two stitch lines.

For patching silnylon, I would use a silnylon patch glued with SilNett. But the company that makes tenacious tape also has a special tap for silicone coated fabrics. And tenacious tape would work on the inside for fabric with PU and silicone coating (not this one though).

Knot may have seen Ron's video: apparently the green version is a different fabric and it looks like they have reinforced the edges. Not that I'm going to buy another one and compare.
