Hi,

Looking for a daypack / overnighter. Wondered if anyone has experience of the Ferrino Radical 30?

I like it but don't think I can live without a mesh pocket. On the back or sides.... The ohm has set the standard for what I seek in a small pack.... Very nice though...

That radical 30 don't half look cuben, but no mention in the specs.
Deal breakers for me are easily accessed water bottle pockets, mesh front pocket nice too. not something 'mountain ' packs seem to come with. Wouldn't use cuben on a pack I'd expect to scrape on rock much myself tbh.

I like side bottle pockets, and a mesh rear(front?!) Pocket is useful.

Aesthetically, to my tastes, that ferrino pack looks quite awful. Colour scheme and cut/feature layout. Much prefer the ULA.

I use a Talon 33 for my day pack, my summer gear easily fits inside for an overnighter but my winter gear is more of a squeeze. I am only just moving into the world of UL packs for longer trips/winter overnighters. I like to have side pockets that are usable when the pack is loaded and a large mesh pocket on the front. I also like having attachment points on the shoulder straps as I carry two 600ml bottles on them.

I also like shoulder strap mesh pockets for gps/phone and or small map/mp3, with a small section of daisy chain above for a carabiner to attach hat etc, and if no hipbelt pockets then a fancy bottom pocket like palante.
