Does anyone know where to get these from in the UK. You can get 3 from the US for about $3 but shipping is $15!!!

I have read that large turkey roasting bags might be the same thing however some are polyester rather than nylon so it would be good to hear if anyone has found that their brand of turkey roasting bag is nylon.

You dont give a size or reason why itneeds to be nylon but i know bacofoil are pet polyester but these are big.

Bugger all use as a liner though. I use the smaller bacofoil ones to pack food in though.

Treadlite sell these in 3 sizes:

They are polyethylene, so not sure how they compare with Nylofume
I have always used the Nylofume bags even in my run/walk sack-I bought them from the US Litesmith and elsewhere -but always expected to replace them with Tread-lite ones when they die after I saw them linked on here. Seem good value to me for what that's worth. Someone send me one and I'll compare them and tell you the difference.:chicken:

I prefer @paul's pack liners - they're quieter, less prone to sudden failure and nylofume goes weirdly soft in high humidity and can pass water vapour. I have a box of nylofume and can pass some on to you if I can find them and you're very patient (i.e 6 months or more wait).

I just have far too many silnylon dry bags and thought I would try and rationalise keeping stuff dry. I've also recently started putting my quilt and camp clothes into my Exped inflator bag which is fair enough because that gives it a double use but I'm thinking it is a relatively expensive piece of kit to use as a dry bag and I'd rather baby it for its real purpose. I happened to see a couple of Youtube kit videos where the presenter used Nylofume bags so I got interested. I just wanted to try them.

Ditto - looking at going down the liner bag route now that my various ancient drybags are starting to delaminate. When you add together the weight of all the bags, bags-within-bags, and bags-within-bags-within-bags it comes to quite a lot!
