The downside to the jerry chair is it needs trekking poles, most of my shelters use my trekking poles so I treated myself to a Qwikback last year, weight is negligible and with a sit mat they're actually very comfy.

I made my own version out of 2 and a bit old carbon arrow shafts and some Cordura , works well. when padded with my insulated tent floor folded up it's very comfortable. I had all the materials so cost was just time related. Finished weight ended up at 130g and breaks down to a 300mm x 30mm small tube. I could have gone much lighter but I thought it would suit me more to use Cordura instead of silnylon.
