Something with plenty of cushioning support, running shoes etc
50k on tarmac is shin splint and bruised feet territory for me
I'd carry waterproofs and drink, are there any food supplies en route?
A huge pair of Hoka's...
I would not do it as I hate tarmac and think I'd get injured.
I am after this summer
A huge pair of Hoka's...
I would not do it as I hate tarmac and think I'd get injured.
I'm a 'gurl' (well a female anyways) - I wouldn't walk on Tarmac that distance as I'd damage my tendons and it would be 18mths before they were OK to walk on again.
Age has a lot to do with it. Even if I was in my 20's (again ) I'd avoid that distance on hard surfaces - asking for trouble and the possible damage done could be 'long term'.
Sorry not much help. Can she walk on the 'verges' ?[/
