China ? Tibet!!!
Oh, are the Alpkit bags made in Tibet now?
Tibet is now treated as a province of China, since the invasion of 1962.
Or, to be more precise, the Tibet Autonomous Region which was annexed by China following the 1962 invasion is treated rather more harshly than regular Chinese provinces.
To get back on topic somewhat, I have the lightweight green hoodless bag from Aegismax and it's pretty good value for money at £50. However, I resisted the urge to buy a higher fill weight bag from them and decided to save up for a Cumulus which is more expensive but far higher quality in all respects.
If you're after a budget bag, I'd second the Alpkit recommendations as it's pretty much the same sewn-through Chinese-made bag but it comes with customer support.
Aye, but it's what China did there.
For your enlightenment, From the Land of Lost Content.Read it, you will learn a lot.
I think spending many years out amongst those lands taught me as much as reading the book
Also meeting His Holiness the Dalai Lama.
Many great memories and experiences to behold
Sadly the Dalai Lama has not set foot in Tibet since his flight from the Potala Palace to India in 1959. Did you meet his holiness in Dharamsala , Lady Grey?
Spent some time in Dharamsala but also saw His Holiness recently in Leh at Kalachakra celebrations in 2014......see trip report, Stormin'.
I bought some Tibetan prayer flags last year from the Tibetan support group website. Gonna use them to warn people around the guys I'll attach to my cuben tent when it's finished.
