If this is something for yourself then I certainly admire your ingenuity :) if this is a commercial venture (you mentioned selling it in your video) I don’t think I would want pop-rivets scrapping up and down the side of the pot and thingamabobs to stop handles from heating up.

I think you’ll need to watch the handle retainer on the pot too, as you put it back in the pot cosy it had the potential to catch it.

Just a bit of honest feedback :)

Thanks for your feedback @fossilbluff.The rivets are domed heads and the reverse is smooth, The piece of carbon felt is a standy in case the handle got overly heated, which it did not.The pot cosy is one of the first I made for my own use, the cosys I supply with the Solo System and the Cold soak optional System are of a larger diameter, to avoid the handle fixing snagging the cosy.

    Thanks :)

How did you find the heat deflection toward the top of the canister... your vid didn’t show that because you were rightly focusing on your design.

    How was / is it?

As can be observed in the video, I comment on this whilst my fingers/ hands are in contact with the canister and on/ off valve.

Yeah, I saw that... but it was about 15 seconds after you lit it. Which is why I was asking I suppose...

Anyway you know what your doing, I was just curious :)

I don't think you'll have to worry about TD copying it :stop:
Looks. Far too much faff. The DoE brigade may like it.
Has it been tested in a typical mountain/Moor environment? Wind, rain, snow etc?
If your selling it as a kit... Your missing the canister stand... Ali do them very cheap.
