Conversation - add participants ??

I want to add another member into an existing conversation - Can I ? and how ??

I cannot see any way - am I being a bit dim

No.
I'm not sure that would work given that conversations are set up to be private.
I assumed you would have to "invite" someone into the conversation but I cannot see any button/way to enable that ...

In the sidebar, under "list of participants"...there's an "invite more" option there...could that be it?

Just checked - that option is only available on conversations that "you" have initiated.
I need to get the other participant do the invite
I knew there had to be a solution.

As you didn't "own" the conversation you couldn't add anyone as the necessary box was not checked (by me). So not being dim.

I've added him now.

Edit: but I now see there is another conversation I've been added to.

The owner/initiator of the conversation needs to 'Edit' the conversation to allow anyone invite others.
