We've been here a lot recently, and I've written about it before so I'll keep the words to a minimum and post mainly the photos.

Oh Gosh, very nice  this is why i don't look at trip reports too often.

    It just sets me off.

Already constructing a fantasy train and sea trip, going by southern Italy (stop off for a weeks walking along the way?)- then ferry via Greece
    Pictured is Southern Turkey yes?

Oh, and do you guys have a new tent Willum?? :geek:

Thanks to all. I nearly didn't post this trip since we've been here so often recently, but it is just such a nice place, especially when there's snow.
Southern Turkey, yes, though towards the eastern end of the Mediterranean, so quite a way from Greece. Cyprus would make a reasonable entry point, if crossing between the southern and northern zones is feasible. Otherwise, 3-4 hours from the Greek border to Istanbul and 12 hours or so from there (by bus).
Greek islands to western Turkey is also possible, but a similar journey from there.
The new tent seems to be Marmite. Luckily, I was brought up on Marmite on toast

Mmmmn so, another escapade to add to 'expeditions pending'

Ah well - better than running out of places to go, i guess.

And now, to work on the funding bid, for that sabbatical year o_O

Hopefully tent not literally marmite, as in, attracts mice, and easily dissolves in the rain, i mean i love the stuff too, but there are limits.. :confuseded:

    Oh thank goodness...:)

I'm sooo glad, I'm not the only one, who struggles to be all magnanimous over these gloriously presented, scenic views.

Even as I craftily craft, my own excursion journals  given the requisite time and broad-band.

And still probs get out for a airing, a good deal more often, than some can manage.

I thought I was the only one lacking such an overt 'generosity gene' ..

Feel free to pm me btw, if you should ever fancy a jellybus spiteful niggle, now and then Nevis :angelic: :D :D :bag:
