    Hi Folks,

Im after a Golite Jam or alternative lightweight frameless backpack that folds up small when not in use.

For taking on cycle tours, ditching the bike and hitting the hills for few days.

    Ideally 50l+.

    M or L back size.

The 'spiritual successor' to the Golite Jam is, I believe, the Nigor Zero-G.

I have had the Nigor for 3 years and I am extremely pleased with it. So pleased that I've not used anything else. It's 53L and 1100g in size L with its (removable) frame.

Thanks for the mention @Clare. However, I suspect that the pack is probably too short for Dan. Although it's a medium, it's the women's version and from measuring I'd say its back length is effectively 17".

I use a 35l Alpkit bag for just such a purpose.

I carry tent and sleep mat in it on back rack when in transit, as an integral part of my luggage.. It's simple and robust - ideal

It's fine for an overnight skirmish, when you've stashed the bike.

Wouldn't want to carry it for days and days fully loaded with lots of food - but it has padded shoulder straps and a rudimentary hip belt.

    Not too pricey, neither.

    Hi folks,

    Thanks for your responses.

I managed to pick up an new Golite Jam on ebay a couple of months ago for a good price.

The 3F does look like a nice pack.

Sorry I should have updated this thread.

How do I close a thread on here?
