    Hello everyone!

My name is Kajo and I am a co-founder of a new EU based (Slovenia) UL cottage gear maker - GramXpert, which just started to sell custom UL gear. Finally the webpage is up and running, you are welcome to take a look :)

Currently we are mostly making quilts but we also plan to produce packs (summer/autumn), shelters (probably next year) and other accessories.

Also in few months we will open a small UL specialized MYOG shop, with some very interesting items to complement other EU based shops.

Current production time is 3-6 days

We offer free worldwide shipping on all our items

Until the end of june you can buy our items with up to 10% discount and get free gift with all purchases over 100€. Additionally we offer 5% discount for all UL forum members Code: ULforums2017 (discounts do stack up:))

Great to see another EU-based option with good prices! Your clear, professional website is a good showcase for your products.

One suggestion: instead of "Size", you should either have "User size" or even better keep "Size" but indicate the actual quilt length rather than user height. I only realised that the quilts were about 20 cm longer once I had scrolled down to the quilt length table and I doubt I'm the only one.

As it is, you're bound to have some people ordering XL and expecting a 203 cm quilt. You have to account for the late night, beer-induced impulse purchases. ;)

Likewise for the temperature rating, when there is a single figure, I assume it to be limit rather than comfort but it would make comparisons with other manufacturers easier if it was explicit.

Finally, estimated packed volume would be a great addition.

Looks great @kamov . Just playing around on the site. It won't let me checkout. If I add items to the basket when I try to 'begin checkout' it states that there are no items in my basket. If I then go back to the home page the items reappear in my basket. I've tried registering on the site but it makes no difference.
I'm just worried that other potential buyers might be having the same issue.
Only tried on chrome so far but its the same on my mobile and desktop.

    Late night - yes :)
    Beer induced - No :angelic:
Although even stone cold sober I still make most of my purchases impulsively late at night..... Force of habit perhaps?

I appreciate your feedback @Balagan and @murpharoo , we will try to fix as many issues as we can. But the thing is that many problems need to be addressed by our shopping cart provider.

This website is just a temporary solution until we host our own. :)

I suggest that you quote the 'loft' of your quilts as this is closely related to the warmth.
Some of us (females in particular) sleep different to the 'norm'. If I know the loft of a sleep system I can compare it to other quilts/sleeping bags (I already have) and make better evaluations of how the quilt will perform for me. Comfort/Limit temp. figures just don't work for me.
The Americans quote loft on their SB's and I find this very useful …….I wish EU/UK makers would too.

Loft height/temperature works with down, but with climashield I read years ago that it's not an equivalent or straightforward comparison. (Ref. Ayce @ - who has worked with and sold it for years).

@kamov great site. I think your sizing and specs info look fine - better than some other cottage suppliers. Users can work out what they need from the info.
English is better than some UK sites! Occasional spelling typo.
Photos not great Res. On my phone even when clicked. Not enough photos yet showing fastenings/cinch details .

    Good luck

I've just made a simulated purchase: forum coupon worked worked well but the cart didn't adjust to VAT-free when I entered a non-EU address in Israel.

Guys, we have a retail website at work and I can tell you that bugs costs the website income/money. The more we can test Kajo's site the better off he will be. Unless he is a developer (knowing what they charge he isn't or he wouldn't need a website of his own)! it will takes days or even weeks to get this sorted, so whilst feedback is useful nitpicking on the small stuff isn't. I would have thought though that he is very grateful for the feedback so far.

Thanks guys for your feedback, it really helps a lot. I know the images are not the best and missing details. Will take some more photos as we go and probably a short video soon.

@Balagan its strange... Works fine for me..

@cathyjc; @Mole is right. Good synthetic insulation is actually warmer for its loft than down, but it is heavier. Nice example that loft doesn't mean warmer sleeping bag, is Climashield Hi-Loft vs Climashield Apex (has slightly less loft but CLO value is 0.71 vs 0.82).

    Hi Kajo!

First of all congratulations for your initiative. We need more EU-based companies that design and make such specialized items. For sure running a business like this is a hard task, but keep doing the good work!

    Hello Marco!
Thank you, I couldn't agree with you more and I'm sure more european UL cottages will pop out soon :) And thanks for encouragement, support from other gear makers really means a lot to us. Gramxpert is a two-man project, it wouldn't kickstart without my brother, he is commited to hard work and very well organized so my job is mainly what I love most – to design and play with new gear :) I also hope we won't interfere with your sales too much as I really like your work. A synonym for quality!

You have started a company that is twice than mine when I started ;-) Thanks for your words too. And don't worry for any interference, I'm sure this will encourage both of us to design and make better and better products. And who knows, maybe we can collaborate in some way ;-)

Yep Mole and Cathy....With the Climashield, I ordered the higher rating Climashield, 166 and/or upwards for extra warmth, but this means extra weight.
SO, I just wear a jacket plus head gear for extra warmth.
    Flexible system..

Climashield lofts nicely and is so comfy to use.

    GramXpert looks nice...
