Hello from London? Australia? I don't know anymore

    Hi all,

You might have seen me posting a few items for sale, as I'm in the process of selling a bunch of stuff I've had lying around before I leave London for a couple of years trekking around the world.

I don't really have set plans - it's mostly leave, head back to Australia to walk a few trails in Tasmania for a month or two, then go to India for 4 months of yoga and wandering around, before I head to the US to walk the CDT - after which I'm not entirely sure what I'll do, but likely the TA in NZ.

Oh and if you're interested, here's the pack I'll be taking for my time away: https://lighterpack.com/r/3pwwjo

Preparing to leave has been a lot harder than I expected, mostly due to saying farewell to 5 years of friendships and amazing memories - along the way I've been lucky enough to trek in some really beautiful parts of the world - and every experience has ultimately led me to my next journey - I love the freedom of trekking, the people you meet, and just waking up every day and tackling the day head on - no tube, no traffic, the only stress is self-induced, and no bloody laptop and emails!##@$

The most common response I've had from friends when they've found out about my plans has been, 'oh wow we thought you were kidding!', followed by 'oh I wish I could do that' - to which my response is always, well you can - just get up and do it!

I thought I'd share a few photos of the last 5 years - if anything, my hope is that they might inspire people to walk away from their corporate London life and see our amazing world before we're all too old and sitting at home watching it in 3d on our holo-tv's.

Now now, @Daymoth we mustn't be rude to the nice man who has been so very generous with all his lovely things.. :angelic:

But hmmn, to having the luxury of a 'corporate life' to walk away from...:cautious:

One or two of us maybe have farms, teaching schedules, dependents, financial obligations, and other such tedious matters keeping us from such limitless peregrinations

    Not jealous, or anything..

    Just saying :bear:

A life some of us can only dream off (not the corporate bit) but time and money to do a few things without constraints of dependents, illness, lack of funds etc.
Good luck on your travels and keep safe.
