Have you looked at Aeropress? It doesn't have any metal parts, except if you by the metal filter disc, unlike that one. My Aeropress looks to be a bit bigger in volume and weighs 230g.

yea ive had aero and wasnt that impressed. Too bulky. This looks titchy and will get a double shot which is all id need. Weight will be the big factor though.

Hmmm, thick borosilicate glass and stainless steel. Could be a lot lighter using Aluminium/plastic components. You should contact them to ask for the weight and suggest a backpackers version.
