Had a Hubba HP prior to the Edge. Much preferred it to the Akto. Think I mentioned that before Adz pulled trigger on his Akto. If I still had mine I'd make a few minor tweaks for using it proper 4 season. If I trashed the Edge & couldn't get another I'm seriously consider another Hubba.

I'd add material to the bottom of the fly on the porch so it came lower to the ground & intermediate pegging points on same. I'd also cover some of the remaining mesh on the inner.

I had a pre-HP Hubba which had an all mesh inner and had the same problem. MSR offered to sell me an HP solid inner for it, but on the old fly, adding length to it wouldnt be easy as it was really arched between peg points.Apparently, the HP fly is lower to the ground than its predecessor.

Did like it though, but the old one is why I have an aversion to mesh inners.

Still get draughts and wind-blown dirt - don't love them so much...

You're camping, not in a corral Lady Grey :D

Which has nice fabric side panels half-way up the sides....:p

......I'm almost tempted by a Nemo Blaze at the moment....as well as a tarp.....and a few other things.....

Great tents. Have the hubba hubba nx and it's a fantastic 3 season palace. Never had a problem with it and plenty of room. No problem with the raised fly. Great ventilation and never had condensation issues. Sleeping bag, etc deal with wind. I'd rather deal with drafts than condensation.

Does yours squeak a lot? Mine is the noisiest tent I've ever owned

The plastic join /connector which holds the top pole did a little. Solved the problem by rubbing it and the section of pole running through it with candle wax. Haven't noticed it return and had forgotten about it until you mentioned it. I've noisier tents. My zephyros flaps unless it's pitched just right.
