How about a thread where we post a pic of the day.

Here's mine snapped coming down from my hike towards home.

Took my daughter to have a go at packrafting. She is only 3 and loved it. Safely sat on my lap with her life vest on and helping daddy paddle. Strangely we went in circles a lot ! Great fun :D

Lovely views and pics, guess I won't get out now until April, how I love this Scottish climate

Keep posting, makes me feel good and fills my heart with hope.

I'm not so great at the technical stuff but here's an attempt at posting an image:

Well, how do you like that? It worked. This photo was taken last winter from our dining room window. We live in a suburb about 20 miles from the back door of the White House in Northern Virginia. The woods here are full of deer. The cat is not allowed to chase deer.

Funny April is when I wind down the backpacking in favour of family trips, IMHO winter is the season for walking and camping.

The cat in the photo is a Maine Coon cat. They tend to be big and they're long-haired cats, too.

We love seeing the deer so close to the house but they will eat some of the things my wife tries to grow and if there are deer around, there will be deer ticks.

I like the winter, too, but I'm not sure if I like it more than the rest of the year. Winters are usually mild around here but every few years we'll have one or two deep snows. But not enough to justify having snowshoes.

Barrel vaulted roof (I think it is called) and with stone, gifted artisans worked there.

Funny how artisan is a fashionable word at the moment, i.e."artisan" bread sells at a premium. Must really pee off bakers who just make bread. It's all bo$$oks of cause.
