West Highland Way passes outside....
One of my clients is on the pilgrims/st swithins way, nice to wish walkers well. One ended up on Clare Baldings Ramblings.
Yes, the Lycian Way is pretty tiring too
It seemed rude not to.....

The Highest Dog in Southern England
Across the glacier on the ascent to Bocca di Tosa
Fair bit of snow still in the Brenta Dolomiti
Zebralight H600w works well, even the dog can wear it.
The season of Noctilucent cloud displays carries on giving this year. These were the brightest I've ever seen. So bright, they lit the mountain as much as the full moon. A wonderful display on a wonderful night atop Ben Macdhui, with not a breath of wind for most of the night, nor any biting insects at all.
Pure mountain magic.

The dog looks huge. How will you manage it when it goes 'cold turkey'.

We let her roam the moors at will... ‘avoid the moor in those hours of darkness when the powers of evil are exalted’
The Hound of the Basketmeals.
@tom ...epic skies in those last 2.
@tom it looks like the wild west.... Perfect
Call me a wimp, but I wouldn't like to cross that snow...
Wicklow mountains (been a while since I was last here)
@WilliamC - would have felt similar just a few years ago. Having the right kit and getting some practice helps. The snow is quite soft (except on the glaciers) but not too soft and we both have crampons and ice axes to belay in the exposed sections. The snow adds time for route finding but is often easier than the steep scree slopes underneath. What worries me is meeting people on these trails without proper kit - twice families with teenagers even. But we haven't seen any accidents thankfully. Good guardian angels probably
Bands of precipitation sweep majestically across the Leather Tor Massif...
Or, put more simply; piddling down on Dartmoor.
Very atmospheric pic
Finally photographic proof Dartmoor gets precipitation lol
Lots of it, alas.
If I had taken your last picture it would be blown up, framed and on my wall within a week. Just stunning!
