If it was Tripel Karmeliet you have my empathy....

I has a 'few' of those one night in a bar local to my apartment in France and fell over twice on the way home :D

Yes; many mornings I promised myself never ever to touch another one of our regional beers. Triples can be... cruel.

We see many tourists underestimating the strength of the beers over here. 9% is considered standard, 11% is ‘strong’.

I live in Ostend but spend most of my school period in Bruges, I’m quite fond of the city. Ypres is also very close to me; lots of beautiful walking to be done in the hills south of the city.

Enjoy your time over here :)

In my defense, I think I was stuffing my face with yet another cheese or snack bar and Peter caught me mid chew, unless I actually am turning into a hamster.

A two night trip in mid-Wales, across the Abergwesyn Common, a large upland area in the Cambrian Mountains. We managed 14 miles in total and camped quite high up both times. Though quite busy around the reservoirs of Elan, only saw the silhouette of one person on the summit plateau.

SDW, my new cnoc water bladder tasted of chemical waste which didn't help in 30c. Near terminal butt chaffe.
Walked down to amberley using the Wey South path, which was derelict and managed to trash my wp trousers shwacking :-(
Great time had inspite of some difficultys.
Oh and the amberley wild camping ground has been sold by the council to a private camping co who have shut it.
Given that wild camping generally means camping on private ground, I wasn't the only one who camped there inspite of all the signs.

Sad to hear as any private owner (unless it is some kind of trust) will surely wish to turn a profit from it.
Surely it is too small to staff though.

Probably unlikely to reopen untill next year, but hopefully they would want it open by the time the trail get busy in spring.

I wondered if it was bought by the 20 quid a night wild camping outfit?
Like you say can't see it being staffed.
Perhaps they'll dig a long drop

I happened upon a stall staffed by the 'Nearly Wild Camping' promoters last weekend, and went in to ask a few questions, presenting myself as someone who'd never heard of them and knew nothing about the subject. To judge from that encounter, I would say that we don't have much to worry about, at least not from them.
