synthetic quilt recommendations for winter?

    If you go with the Uber Bivvy, I'd find some way to peg it for windy weather. I find I can pee easier at night knowing my shelter will still be there when I'm done.

    very easy to tape on some peg points with cuben tape if required

    I think with gear in the Bivvy you should be okay. To be fair that's one of the attractions for me that it does not have pegs or lines - one less thing to carry and worry about.

    Yeah, sorry. It's the different approach thing, I guess you chuck all your kit inside. My 'bivvy' has room for me, my quilt, mattress and not much else. I've got tie-outs for it top and bottom. Left to its own devices it'd blow away.

    Well if you check the size of the Uber Bivvy - it's huge! Plenty of room to chuck all your kit inside:)
