Tarptent Double Rainbow Li and ZPacks Free Duo

It started with a common mistake that some make and that is not having the two ends parallel to each other. When that happens the other panels will not sit correctly no matter how much fiddling you do. (yes I know , it is intuitive for some but not others...)
I have seen that with mids and shelters like the TT Notch and Moment , in fact a lot of non freestanding tents, again one reason why some will comment how easy they are to set up whilst others find them fiddly to do.

Tt DR Li" Intuitive to put up and was up in about 3 minutes"
There was a comment about the DR beign difficult or fiddly to set up. I smiled when I read that because it took me several months and several E Mails to convince a local guy, that kept posting about how difficult it is to set up, to come to my place so that I could show him how to do it.
After setting his tent up in a couple of minutes or so , explaining what I was doing (he was convinced he had a faulty one because it did not look like those on the TT site...) I got him to do it . The result was the same . His tent was not faulty.

I actually didn't get the doors staked out because I didn't have room, but rolled them up. I really don't see how this tent would be fiddly....I've read that too, but certainly wasn't an issue. Of course I used the trekking pole option yesterday just to check it out as I can't stake my floor!
