30mph winds in the morning gusting 50mph. A bit bouncy but didnt have an issue, didnt use all guy lines.

How do I order this with the double zippers? What do I ask for? It gives more room for dogs and gear in the vestibules that I would need if I ordered a 1P tent vs a 2P tent. Plus want a half-solid inner...about half way up the doors and the rest mesh.

Its the Phreeranger EB version

Its not massively different to the standard porch, better alcoves, more functional, but not loads more room. I prefer it. Depends how big your dogs are.
My inner is solid, with mesh vents on the top 1/3rd of the door. Just request it.

Thanks. The double zippers just make the porch room just a little more square and usable for the dogs to spread out in. The dogs are border collies...the ones in my profile picture, so not huge.

I think I'm sold on this...I think it's exactly what I've been looking for if the dogs can fit in the porches.

If you drop Marc at Trekkertent an email with your requirements, he will let you know what he can do.

Im not sure the EB porch would fit 2 border collies...dunno

Someone on here had one made with an EB porch at both sides, think there may be pics on this thread?...

I was thinking the EB porch was both sides...one BC per side. I think I now know what to ask for. Thanks.

He can pretty much do any configuration you want. One thing that initially confused me was he makes Phreerangers like the Phoenix originals; one porch std or EB (pentagon inner extends into back of fly) and also does his own take with 2 porches (rectangular inner), one porch at each side.

The flysheet is the starting point, I think. Then the inner can be made to suit requirements (within limits). The 'standard' inner can just about take 2 sleeping mats side-by-side.

For solo use, you could go for a reduced width inner, which will give you a larger porch area. Beacuse the pentagon inner extends into back of fly, there is plenty of room for kit even with the reduced width.

Mark's quality is top notch .Just be aware lead times are long .particularly at this time of year .
Does this mean your Strat Li is not working for your requirements ? I have the sil one ,porches slightly
bigger though .

I see that the lead times are 5 weeks which is fine for me if I order now. I don't have another trip coming up until July.

The SS Li is great for what it is...but I have discovered that I dislike the complexity of the set-up and the restrictions on packing made by the struts of the pitchloc corners. I want something simple, not silnylon, quality product and easy to pack that has room for me, gear and dogs (whether inside or in the porches).

Just be warned that when I ordered mine the lead time stretched from 5 weeks to 8 weeks. Great products but that's what happens when dealing with cottage indistries.

I'm not a Phreeranger owner, but a friend alerted me to its existence, knowing that I was looking for a one-person tent (I currently have a 2-person tent, which is fine but am thinking of getting something smaller and lighter as it's usually just me). In fact, I found this place by searching for "Phreeranger reviews" and as this is my first post here outside the "Hello" thread, I'll start by saying, erm, "Hello" again!

So, my question here is this: I see people referring to the "EB". What does this mean? Sorry, I can't work it out and there's no reference that I've found on the Trekkertent site. Thanks!

Yep @Shewie is spot on (as usual). As I understand it, the standard tent has a single flysheet entrance zip at the front (see attached picture of mine). The Extended Bell has 2 front zips. This results in a 'square' front making the bell area (porch) much larger. If you look further back in this thread you will see that I ordered a narrower inner, so that my porch area became automatically larger without the need for the EB version.

Cheers! I'll reread the whole thread as the answer is probably in there, but how easy is it to access the "back porch" so to speak? The design looks symmetrical on the diagrams, so I presume there's access to that area on the non-door side too.

@el manana has the extended bell version; I just have the ordinary one:oops:

As zen says, there are ways around the smaller porch; I have a smaller mesh inner if needed but have only used the standard solid inner.

Might treat myself!

I’ve been very pleased with it.

I don't have a back porch on mine. The inner follows the shape of the flysheet at the rear, so the shape of my groundheet is a pentagonal. This gives me a bit of additional internal space as I had the width of the inner cut down to a 1x person as opposed to the normal 1.5 x person

Okay, I think the thing for me to is probably: a) Think about it for another couple of days till I'm 100% sure I want it and can pay for it (~85% sure right now), b) Contact Marc(?) with detailed questions regarding options and variations.
