I've setup a Paypal payment system on Trek-Lite, for anybody who would like to make a small annual donation to the running of the site. Please don't feel pressured into donating if you don't want to, this isn't about scoring kudos, it's purely an effort to raise funds which will contribute towards the upkeep of the site and any future developments. I've enabled certain features for anyone who chooses to donate, and I will probably look at tweaking a few other privileges if the site continues to grow. Donors currently receive the added benefits of .. HTML links in signatures (blogs etc) Being able to post items for sale in the Outfitter section The ability to upload photos directly to the forum Access to exclusive member discounts and Supporters Classifieds Off-Topic discussion area to chat about matters unrelated to backpacking. If you think this might be something you'd be interested in, hover over your username next to Inbox, at the bottom of the box you should see Account Upgrades. Thanks once again to anyone that wishes to contribute towards the development of Trek-Lite Please Note: When your annual donation is due to expire you will receive a reminder notification, you will notice that your current donation level (£5, £10 etc) is missing until expiry, just wait until the date has passed and you should have the full options again.
Like a dream thanks Mole I can see the cash in Paypal and you've got the banner Do we like the banner under the username, I can edit it to whatever or just get rid? Do you want your fiver back Mole?
Looks like it; I'm happy to support but would prefer to make an annual donation without the debiting system being automated.
I've unticked that now Ed One to keep an eye on because I think it can still be automated within your own PP account, I've had that on forums in the past
I'm not sure I am either, I might just bin that It should be just a one off now mate, cheers for checking Not sure what'll happen at the end of the 12 months but I'll do some more digging
If you wanted to differentiate you could change the text colour on members names....I'd like a Teepee orange
Yeah that's an option, not sure where it's configured but leave it with me I'm not sure there's an option for this Mole, I think the styling change is applied to the usergroup as a whole
As a token of my appreciation, anyone who's donated and uses an infllatable Thermarest, drop me a PM with your address and I'll send you a gift
