What have you bought?

I bought some Amuri Z-Treks and was quite disappointed. They are not as light as I thought and the soles are really thin, you can feel every little stone. Came to the conclusion that they are OK for the beach!
Even the basic zero shoes with the cord are heavier than they look :(
As for feeling every little stone... You must have sensitive soles? I find that I notice them when I step out, but after a bit of distance, it's as natural as its meant to be and ceases to be a thought.

Oh and think the spatula is listed at just over 20g.
Seasoned ti pan seems ok on eggs but sticks with pancakes so I've ordered a nonstick trangia frying pan.
My large one 23g but think I'll live with it as its great for big omelettes and balancing my steak on... I used to use the gsi one but that's 26g with the folding handle removed.
Have you a link for yours please... Might give it a whirl, I like the look of the serrated edge

Looks good and fills a gap in my wardrobe/gearbox so after much internal struggle have prised wallet open, dug out a card, and ordered one :)

Arrived today :). Went for large. Length and arms ok but quite a slim fit around torso and I'm pretty thin (6'1",BMI 21). Fortunately not planning to wear it over more than modetate insulation, Rab Altus. So should do nicely for reducing pack weight when shell needed for potential or intermittent mild precipitation only.

On the odd occasion that I need a spatula I use a Jetboil extending one, weighs 15g but not used to turn a large steak.

Don't know how much it weighs, but to my hand it feels a good bit less than a half ounce, around par with a €2 coin which would make it closer to a quarter ounce.

Something similar can be made very easy from the side of a small wooden fruit pallet, but they break just as easy.
This was made by a guy in a Viking village show, though he made it for me twice as long & wide, but me opinel no.8 sorted that out.

I did think about wittling something, sure it'll be just as good. Trangia frying pan came and works much better. It's big enough to use as a lid for my 2l pot so only ends up 30g heavier than my little to frying pan.

I'm sure that OMM designed the Duomat to prevent over sleeping. Despite that I'm keeping mine.
I instantly googled it when I saw him using it on the hill, great for dirt and stoney ground... Then balked at the weight... Didn't feel that heavy... I couldn't imagine anyone carrying two to make a full mat..

1968-vintage Swiss army snow shovel from a Swiss scout shop. Very similar to the old Norwegian Witco or Rottefella shovels (but with Swiss engineering, i.e. rivets ground flush on both sides), it weighs 550 gr which isn't exactly shabby compared to modern ones. Especially for just over a tenner.
