Bought pre redundancy... Just been told they should be with me today after ordering on Sunday...
Bearbones carbon pencils.... Thick as Eastons. my mate was using some at the at the weekend.. No fear of driving them into the peakland rocky ground.

I use these and they are excellent, unbreakable. I did have some MSR Carbon Core pegs, useless by comparison, snapped one on my first time out.

Even the basic zero shoes with the cord are heavier than they look :(
As for feeling every little stone... You must have sensitive soles? I find that I notice them when I step out, but after a bit of distance, it's as natural as its meant to be and ceases to be a thought.
Glad you find them OK @Chiseller, pleased for you. I have very high-arched feet, so I guess that my weight is not spread as well as someone who has flat feet. We are all different you know!

Nowt to do with hiking and Trek-Lite* but I'm pretty chuffed by this jumble sale find: a pretty old 600 gr (620 in fact) Goldenberg polled house hatchet sporting the double eye mark of the brand's best steel quality (Styrian steel).

* now that ultralight tables and chairs are discussed here, maybe we could expand to ultralight beer coolers and open a bush-lite sub-forum. ;)

A snug pack jungle blanket, destined to be cut in half and become Fraggle's bed and blanket for 3 season hiking. Should be about 400g when modded.

A pair of hardly used Speedcross 3's to try out after not getting on with the Altras

Pair of hammock tree straps to create a lighter/stronger suspension system for the hammocks.
