What have you bought?

Possibly, I must confess I don't know Marc's surname. The tent is a variation on the Trekkertent Saor. I gather not dissimilar to what the mark 2 Saor will be like.
It's a different one. I was thinking of something like this one:

Packs of 8 x 25g hexamine tabs from Mountain Wharehouse in Harrogate £1.49. I was looking for Esbit but Cotswold didn't have any and I had to go to Betty's to buy a Fat Rascal, MW is next door so popped in to see if they had any.

FYI the Fact Rascal was £2.20 and was excellent

I'm literally on a desert island and only get wifi at night, the entertainment is a bit ify so I've had a bit of a shopping splurge each night while drinking copious amounts of red wine (dangerous).

Drowned my suunto watch snorkeling the other day, so that was a good excuse to buy a replacement.
Garmin fenix 5, decent reviews and blacks had it at a decent price.

Yellow strap for above watch, (I like yellow)

Snow peak 300 pot/mug to replace a gsi mug (Amazon)

Black Diamond spot lite 160 to replace a Petzl Tikka (Amazon)

Another pair of darn tough micro crew hikers.

Another patagonia Houdini (new style this time)

Mammut cargon 90 (for work trips) to replace a bag I've somehow misplaced

Bought a pair of Inov8 Roclite 315.
3 weeks wear and they’ve broken already. The silly loop that the laces goes through.
NOT impressed. Sure it’s only a minor thing but still, at that price. Grrrr...

That's a bummer. I've got ~400 miles on mine and they haven't shown any wear at all other than in the tread. Might be worth a word with supplier?

I wore a brand new pair of Roclite 280s on our last trip. Normally I put Seam Grip or Freesole on all the stitching but when I took them out I noticed that I'd forgotten to do it on these. Well, they'll survive on trip and I'll do it when I get back, I figured.
90km later and a number of lugs have popped off, the remaining ones are severely warn, the stitching has gone at the flex point of both shoes.
It was rough ground but I usually figure to get 400-500km out of a pair of Roclites and it's usually the lugs wearing down or the inside back of the heel wearing a hole that does for them.
Never forget to treat the stitching.

I very much doubt it. It merely worked out a better price than the Sawyer Mini, functions the same and apparently flows faster.

Where did you buy it from mate? I noticed the price shot up on Amazon after @The Cumbrian ’s heads up.

I’ve seen the flow rate on vid and in the flesh. Mr @Chiseller is right with the comment “is it actually doing anything?”

I can totally understand the concept of the Sawyer micro. A chopped down squeeze with less longevity.

Amazon.com, bud. Are they :poop:? If so, I may use the Sawyer I found in the cupboard shortly after ordering.:banghead:

I got my hydroblu a couple of days ago. Quite a bit bigger than my mini. Seems to glow well but it's not had bog water through it yet!
Totally unnecessary purchase, I'll take it to the lakes and Scotland in a week and give it a proper go.
