Be interested to hear how it performs! I have the S2S Etherlight insulated right now - happy with the comfort, but I can't make one last more than about 20 nights. I expect to get it replaced under warranty (again!) but I'd like to swap to something more likely to last for a longer trip, while keeping as much as the comfort as possible.

Starting to plan my trip! My original route is 150km not sure if that's a bit far for my first walk but the book covers 687km so I have lots of choice!

Sure we are all the same. Bivvy bag, sleeping bag, sleep mat and stoves have all been tested indoors, even in the early hours of the day in darkness, head torches, bike lights. Really hope this isn't just me.

im sure everyone here is the same haha

Bought one specially for a 3 week overseas trip.
Failed first night.
A kind US backpacker cut his CCF mat in half for me.
Got so used to it that I can only sleep on a conventional/ traditional cheap self inflating mat now that cost me £24.
Sleeping much better now
STS refunded value of the Etherlite:thumbsup:

@Darren Happy Birthday, let me know how you get on with this as appears to be a pretty good charger for bikepacking https://bikepacking.com/gear/anker-powerport-solar-review/
Been using one for a couple of years, very good. Not ultralight and I don't usually carry it in my pack if I'm walking far, but it's been on my travels with me aplenty and works perfectly for recharging an Anker power pack. I haven't been gentle with it and it still works perfectly.

I have both. The big Agnes has poor insulation, poor enough that one might just as well buy the cheaper lighter uninsulated version and stick a foil mat under it. There’s quite a bit of reporting about this on the net, supposedly due to structural gaps in the insulation layer. The s2s is a much better mat for insulation. For comfort they are pretty much the same except the S2s is made of nicer less slightly more velvety fabric.
