Keith Foskett is a UK adventurer, long distance hiker, author and occasional painter and decorator, a great blog with lots of info on the AT, PCT and El Camino trails as well as gear chat. An attempt for the triple crown was cancelled this year due to the lingering snow conditions and short window, I'm sure it won't be long before he gets it done though.

Looking at his blog is doing nothing for getting rid of my fascination/obsession with the AT. :D

Maybe one day...

All those trees....
I know someone who's done it three times...

Agree about the trees. Sectionhikers blog has very successfully put me off ever wanting to hike in the White Mountains or anywhere similar.

I can understand the trees putting people off, the green tunnel effect can get you. But I like trees, and have a deep love of mountain forests.

Doubt I'll ever walk it,my sights are set on various Scottish trails.

I like trees too and a bimble in the woods can be delightful and Rothiemurchus is indeed lovely. But I've hiked in places where you spend all day looking at tree trunks and watching your feet so as not to trip up on tree roots - not my idea of a great experience.

Just been watching Stick's blog, walking a 4 day section of the A.T. Quite a lot of trees!
I love trees, but not all the time.
Like the gear he buys tho'.

Ah Sticksblog. :) Chad's youtube videos are very, very good for giving major gear envy.

And for giving me tree envy, think I'm a bit weird . :D
