I've used tape under golf club grips (in a previous life) which you wet with white spirits and slide them on, the spirits evaporates and the grips dry stuck fast, might be an option

See my scientific simmer test elsewhere: works well - 40-odd minutes from a 14g Esbit...

No, it's Membrane Silpoly 0.93oz/yd from Ripstopbytheroll. Ridgeline for a 11.5' x 10' hammock tarp. Weighing in at 350g so far.

Thats very light for that size of tarp Gadget in sil. Watch those re-inforcements and bloatware, they really add up in weight. ;) Are you putting doors on it?

Nice stitch length too, not too tight or small. :)

Nice one. It looks uncoated in the pic, that's why I was so curious. That's a really great weight.
That prototype looks good.
Agree with Teepee re Stitching and reinforcements, if you aren't doing patches on the corners I would make sure to sew the tie outs into the hem.

After struggling incompetently to put away a frozen SL3 fly the other week...a new silnylon tent bag with extra v-section to create wide opening to make packing easier...

IMG_20160323_180720.jpg

Opening now 12cm wider...
IMG_20160323_180744.jpg
Drawcord pulls it in neat...

Packing is now a cinch, even for sausage fingered incompetents like me....

Edit: posted this on wrong thread, should have been on the "what has your wife made for you today...'

Nice job @Padowan .Gotta love a bit of stove testing. I've never drunk so much tea since starting to make stoves☺.
I even got a little 10ml tin for my small 300-400ml mugs that works a treat as the 30ml size was too hot for a small cone

Looks good. I guess it gives you more adjustment length using a UCR rather than a whoppie. What's the diameter of the Dynaglide, is it nice to work with?

1.8mm, easy to work with and splice. not as stiff as say stein throwline. i picked up 150ft on ebay for 18 quid. going to try some 1.5mm for my tarp ridgelines and 1mm for guys, think. Ucr means you can lose the hardware and get away with very thin lines that are low bulk too. will feed back when ive had a play
