Hi there I'm Matt, 35 from East Yorkshire. I had this site recommended to me by Rog Tallbloke after meeting him last month on my first proper outing. I've recently taken up walking and camping, I've only just really bought everything in the last few months but have already found out I ought to try and lighten the load already after taking way too much on my last one!

Hi, good to hear I will be glad of any advice. I took some stuff I didn't even need last time so with proper thought the next camp should be easier, I'm hoping anyway haha and slowly I should be able to upgrade things and improvise on some others.

Thankyou peeps, I seem to be called a day walker, I'm not sure what title suits me atm actually, I like a walk and a camp, not done any long distances yet tho.

Thanks yeah I'm sure I'll get plenty of ideas from here maybe making things is the way to go when you see what some stuff costs!
