'owdo ?

Such stalwart insistence on expanding, in the name of full equality, the scope of the original poster's comment about time's cruel effect on the physical appearance of some of TL's membership to include the ladies of said forum is to be commended. ;)

Not certain you'll get so far with that line of argument... Not wishing to prejudge here, but I suspect our gentleman might be of 'the sort' who is oblivious to the 'appearance' of females, in many spheres of life *

*A not uncommon affliction IME

I hope I'm not alone in finding this a particularly fascinating psychological paradox...

But it would appear that a gentleman (sic) who has just been informed, very publicly, that his correspondent is wholly uninterested in engaging in non consensual violence...

Is now, quite clearly, suffering an attack of the trembles??

I just don't understand...

Can anyone enlighten me as to the cause of his discomfiture?

And perhaps give him a little soothe?

I feel quite dreadful about it... :(

Profound apologies sweetie,

I had most erroneously taken you for one of those tediously macho swaggart types...

I fully realise now, that yr more tending towards the sensitive misunderstood struggler camp with El et al... :bear: :bear:

Well howdy do de!! Mr Chisel.. :D

Sure you're a perfectly decent (non blokey) bloke really... ;)

You're gonna have to pretend to be now, at least for a while... :beaver:

Chisel as in carving?

Great... I love a bit of spoon whittling me :geek:

I could show you my axe, if you like...

take no notice, nothing a new blouse from M&S won't sort.

Pictures.... Or it didn't happen.

It is sweet the way you guys go shopping together though... "Could I carry off a pussy cat bow dy'think? Or a tad too ageing?"

Annie you mustn't make fun.. He's trying to exhibit his sensitive side..

Trek-Lite hardens ones resolve.

G'day MR Chiseller; may you spend many relaxing hours amongst us all.......oh, btw, I also have an axe, like Ruth
;)

Meanwhile in other trek-!it coincidence news...

Annie an I attended the very same secondary school... Our tenures didn't quite overlap chronologically... But whooduv thunk it, all the same..? :D

Can I just apologise on behalf of all the blokes on trek-lite Chis, most threads don't turn into a coffee morning at the local WI

Ahem, I think you'll find it was Mr Bristles as started up about blouses... Annie and I were reminiscing about our days at Ms Valkyries School of Advanced Axe Throwing...

Rather bold to be apologising on behalf of all the blokes? Wouldn't you say??

I know it is your forum sweetie, and as such, what you say, very much does go..

But doesn't it strive as a tad peculiar that a discussion forum regarding a non gender specific activity, particularly aimed at carrying less pack weight..

And as we know, due to their physiology, females are, on average less muscularly strong (although, those averages tell us nothing about the individual person of course)

Doesn't it strike as odd that there should be such a small proportion of women who feel welcomed to these discussions??

I wonder if it might have anything to do with the slightly testy, testosterone fuelled discussions one encounters?

And the boring old 'imposter syndrome' , that so many women still seem to labour under

Just a thought...

Looking forward to the 'robust debate' around that one.

two sugars in mine ;)

Seeing as most of the time, most of us are NOT doing what we'd like to be doing, I don't see any harm in a bit of bants between friends.
