Salomon Out Night 30+5. New out I think. Based on the running packs. Posted for info, as the price seems good right now. The wummins version is going at £49 on Amazon in certain colours. and can be had for less than £80 with SportsShoes discount code.

Available in the 'in' colour of citrus or more stealthy greys and blues.

I've had a look for the weight and its coming in at 756g with the extra 5L lid, so could be dialled down a bit.

Interesting also that a larger out week 38+6 is available too. At only 815g with the 6L lid.

Looks slimmer on the back than the Montane Trailblazer.

@Chiseller @fluffkitten look away now. nothing to see here

I was very nearly on the hook then. I may have been tempted to buy the ladies large but.... As a winter endurance race pack... (, full mandatory kit) it may be very good, due to Salomon Sensifit. As a fast pack. Both the TB44 and Tb30 will win out in durability, accessibility and usability.
The Sensifit sternum elastics will be under a lot of load with the 30 pack.
The UD 20 would give it a run for its money aswell.
Don't get me wrong... I have 2 salomon vests and I can manage the adv12 for an overnighter at a push.
But come winter... If it was down to weight... I'd go Tb30 and if it was down to full endurance in winter.. The TB44 will stand the course.
I've ran down mountain trails with it, loaded... It performs well.
Where it really shines is the huge zipped wand (as they call them) pockets and the 'bivi' pocket.

Just repeat after me: "Rucksacks need to be seam-sealed. Rucksacks need to be seam-sealed. Rucksacks need to be... Rucksacks..."

That should sort it out. You can leave the £90 with the lady in the front office. No worries, your health insurance will cover it.

If I was looking for a pack for this stated purpose and for what @Chiseller is suggesting I think I'd take a look at the Ultimate Direction Fastpack 25 (555g) or 35 (710g). I've not seen that size but MrsHo has a smaller one of their packs and they are really well designed for runners and fast hikers.

If you'd like to save a few bob have a look at the Berghaus fast hike series. I have the 20 and the 45 ltr and they are very, very similar to the Ultimate Direction packs but a third of the price.

I'm actually not in the market for this type of pack. Plus, although it is a bit heavier, I really like my Osprey Talon 22.

I've got the 20 (up for sale shortly very cheap :whistling:) and had the 35... Loved... But not enough to keep it....

I handled a Berghaus fastpack today... Liked the feel but missing crucial (to me) features... And for 61.50 the Tb30 was too much to resist. M..

I bought an AK57 to find it’s hardly any bigger than the two (2), I counted them twice, AK 47s that I already have.

These UL jobbies look like stuff sacks with shoulder straps

Looking back 40 years ago I was so fond of my Colmaster external frame rucksack.

you haven't quite got the hang of this place have you?

45 years ago I had a rucksack that smelled like it had something living in it.
