Very nice packs. The Prospector looks interesting, framed VX21 at less than 700 grams.
Not bad pricing, and no customs charges.
That Prospector looks like the answer to all my rucksack problems...
You should definitely get one and review it for us
I haven't got any rucksack problems and I also want it. A lot.
Looks nice, pallante bottom pocket and interesting to see the top strap buckle moved to top of back panel rather than above the front mesh pocket. The x PAC looks cool in black.
As long as the buckle stays of your back I guess it’s a good idea.
Found this while googling yer man from atom packs
Nice bit of reading
I didn't know you had rucksack problems. Thought you had a Prohet...
Kind of want the Atom, not as practical as the Prospector but so cute. Can someone give me a load of money so I can go on a spending spree please?
The stretchy pocket on the bottom of the Prospector is just plain daft.
I don't need a new pack so why do i keep looking at this thread...?
Because packs are addictive.
I agree; why us VX21 then put mesh over it?
Perhaps because there are no hip belt pockets? I find a palante pocket useful on my beltless packs.
But since there is a hip belt, why not put the pockets there where they'll be much less vulnerable to abrasion?
I'm curious: what exactly do you put there that is compatible with putting the pack down on wet, muddy ground or dry rocky ground?
Honest question, no trolling here.
A Snickers bar...
Yes me too...bit of a fad/fashion maybe; unless you are into FKT and the ilk?
I think the idea is that you don't put it down, at least during the day, because you hike 24/7. Not that applicable to the UK necessarily...
So it's a food bag for on-the-go hand-to-mouth feeding. That explains the Snicker bar.
I asked the very same question about the Palante packs ……….
I can see that with the Palante Simple, less so with the Atom Prospector.
I think @snow has it.
If the packs on the deck you ain't hiking
