Was recently out on a 5 nighter, and slept in my decathlon kalenji bottoms and long sleeve HH top 2 of the nights.Looking for something nicer to the touch that will also do for an extra layer for during the day thanks

I've tried a few alternatives but keep coming back to a 100% Merino T.

I've got a couple of Alpkit ones that, unlike some others, wash well.

What about something like a Rab Pulse hoody/shirt?
Wearing it now out tromping under a light fleece sipping tea at two degrees. Nice.

What about bottoms , thinking of going back to my Aldi 100% Merino bottoms but they are quite heavy.

I picked up a bargin pair of icebreaker merino leggings from amazon last year

Just use them for cold sleeping, actually very comfy for merino, no itch

For the summer I use the Rab Aeon long sleeved tee, soft silky fabric, lightweight BUT Rab have discontinued or perhaps renamed.
Could be that the Rab Force is the same similar fabric.

Now discontinued :(. There are a few around if you're not fussy about colour, mainly XXL but no mediums.

Glad I bought two then! Just put this one on straight from the washing machine... IMG_20200731_105127.jpg

Ha ha see your 'whinge' post. I just responded over there. Luckily I bought two last year, as did the Chiseller.

I was going to stock up on this visit to the UK. I can't find an OR Echo Hoody at a decent price either. I just hope Rab brings out a Pulse alternative, as they did with the Interval.

Montane Dart - cheaper on Amazon than their website, even though Montane is the seller - go figure!

Megmeister drynamo long sleeved crew. Been trying it out all week and very impressed for a 3 season baselayer.
It’s a proper baselayer; very figure hugging (it’s not a good look), polypropylene, nylon and elastane. Wicks brilliantly, doesn’t absorb moisture. No seams.

if it’s really cold I go merino.

That's because I assumed @Micksjoiner is a man, so I put that link up, but maybe my assumption was incorrect.

Yes, I saw that review. I can't help feeling it won't be as airy as the Pulse and it's a lot of money to pay in order to find out.

Uniqlo Heattech is lovely to the touch, warm, silky and cheap. Ideal for your wishes.
