    I was thinking of the buffalo ones. If montane hood isn't sold separately any more I'd get the buffalo one instead which has a few sizes.

    Buffalo mitts are the one kit I always thought about getting but never did. They were less than £10 when I first tried them on in a shop. Now I think they're £30. Inflation and showing my age I think (mid forties). I used to. Have plenty of friends who raved about them (including some with spares in their bag for when they get wet through). Others preferred proper dachsteins instead. Great for real cold where it's dry snow apparently.

    Right now for real cold I've got inferno mitts which were a game changer when I got them. Warm to - 10°C and even less ime. Cost £30 too when I got them, about £5-10 more than buffalo mitts but they fitted better. With buffalo mitts in slap bang between sizes such that neither fits well enough to consider seriously IMHO

    No worries, its there if you want it, if a i can find it. Never had the Buffalo mitts...Dach mitts all the way...super toasty even when soaking wet :)

    Home again and package waiting for me; a preloved buffalo shirt. Now I just need the trousers.
