What's the sizing like on these please?
Snug xl? Do they run small? I like the adaptability of these.. Not the weight though.

I think they are in large L / small XL territory, quite fine for me. You are never going to get überlite with side zips. The weight is on par with plain fleece bottoms but warmer and a lot more flexible.

Cheers, very tempted as I'd wear them over the tights I'd be winter hiking in.... It all goes out the window if I'm wearing my Mardale pile Bibs though lol.

There's a comprehensive sizing guide available via this page. I don't remember which size I opted for (and we're away from Antakya for a month) but whichever I got, they fit perfectly so I'd suggest the size guide is accurate.
Edit: I found the size on a spreadsheet. I got a size M. For reference, I usually get a 30 or 32 inch waist depending on brand.

Has anyone actually used the Rab Compressor trousers?

    How do you rate them?

Sorry, that should be Mountain Equipment compressors.

I'm assuming that you mean the ME Compressor trousers?
If so, my wife has a pair of the 3/4 length version and, without a lot of experience with other brands, I'd say they're very well done. Full length 2-way zips mean that they're easy to ventilate or to get to pockets in your trousers underneath. They're warm and they pack up reasonably small for non-down.
However, she has an older version from when they used Primaloft insulation so the current ones may not be directly comparable.
