    Hi all,

Lurker here finally introducing myself. I'm from the UK but based in Milan now and looking forward to hiking some of the pre-alps, alps and the dolomites. Looks like lots of interesting topics being discussed on the forum. I just got back from a 7 week trip in Chile and Argentina, trying to lighten my load sensibly and get back out there as soon as spring hits

    Hi All,

I have been lurking here for a while. I do most of my walking in North Wales, as it's the easiest place for me to get to. I like camping on summits. Apart from a few day walks, I didn't manage any summit camping last year as I was recovering from a bowel cancer operation and subsequent chemo. However, now back to something like fit, thanks to my other hobby (cycling), I am looking forward to the rain stopping so I can camp on some more summits!

I've been lurking on here for a few weeks now. So about time I created an account and said hello to everyone.

I'm based in Devon and so far all my walking and wild camping has been on Dartmoor, but very keen to start getting further afield and up higher. Brecons and Snowdonia in the short term as they're probably the easiest mountains in reach of me.

Anyway - I've been enjoying reading the forums over the past few weeks and hopefully I can contribute myself a bit and get to know people on here better.

Oooh. Hello! I’m Oete and have lurked a bit and thoroughly enjoyed the forums, thank you for the platform. If that’s the right word.

I live in York... very flat... and most of my hiking is in Scotland where I probably get 3-4 weeks a year backpacking and camping in the hills. I’m fairly light weight and have a dehydrator!!! It’s orobsb the best but if fear I’ve bought.

Anyway, apologies for meaningless waffle and hello

    Hello to everyone,
I've been a member on here for a while now but without a intro. My name is Ralph and reside in Notts. Most of my walking is & has been for over 40 years in the Peak District, never tire of it. Also done a couple of coastal backpacking walks & the odd bit in the Lakes. Always trying to lighten my load.

My turn, again a lurker, more on facebook groups really. Been camping since I can remember more seriously the last 15 or so yrs. Done a few big walks Inc Cumbrian way, whw and tgoc 2016, unfortunately due to my better half being diagnosed with heart failure 2yrs ago im now lucky to get 2or 3 consecutive nights out. I love all kit especially tipis, still to try paramo though . My local stomping ground is on kinder scout, especially in winter the best time to camp.

    Good evening all,

My name is Tom, I've been lurking here for a few months so apologies for the late introduction.

I mostly stumble about in the South West, more often than not on Dartmoor. I'm very new to this lightweight game but thanks to you wonderful folks am learning a lot.
