I also have their wetsuit shortie, climbing helmet and other random sports stuff and have no complaints.
I used one of their climbing helmets on a course recently. The instructor was saying that they are as good as the expensive brands.
Something like a climbing helmet has to pass stringent testing to be allowed for sale so not really surprised.
There's probably lots of Decathlon stuff that's performs well & is good value....pity the nearest one is >150mls away
Most things branded Simond are pretty good, Simond being a mountaineering brand that was bought by Decathlon but which retains some autonomy.
Decathlon is not seen as a 'cheap n nasty' outlet, so I'm sure its regained its status.
I would probably buy more if their website wasn't such a maze to navigate. A trip to the nearest store is an hour's drive on motorways...we sometimes combine it with a visit to Ikea to make it a day trip.
After my visit to Brighton one, I was surely left with that impression. Appalling service.
Im not surprised. All of the spanish and french mountaineers use their stuff.
They are one of the few places that still sell 100wt fleeces. Now if they could add a quarter zip and hood to the the crew neck one below....
Or even wack on a zip on the female version
https://decathlon.com.au/products/mh-20-womens-hiking-fleece-138806? Bingo, bango....
Big fan of 100wt fleeces.
PS whoops a daisy they got some in -still 100wt fleece-but not the deep zip for venting.
