The Cumbrian
Section Hiker
I picked one of these up last week on a whim and tried it for the first time at the weekend.
I wasn't expecting much, but ended up really impressed. I used a couple of the old BCUK hammocks (modified with a structural ridge line) and my girlfriend and I had a very comfortable night.
The only disadvantage is that I weigh twice as much as her and she ended up much higher than me. This is probably because I had to arrange the suspension tapes in a Y shape because I forgot to take some extra carabiners. If each hammock had independent suspension it would be much better.
Apologies for the crappy pics, I erected it in the dark and dismantled it in a hurry.
