    Hi Noenk

My wife is from Bandung, we've travelled a little around Indonesia and were there this August for a family trip to Flores. We didn't manage much hiking/walking as I broke my little toe on a boat in the Komodo National park in the first week but there are some amazing things to see over there and we'll definately go back to Flores.

Be interested to hear about your travels.

    Hai Davy..
    Nice to see you..
Last week i was travelled to Mt Rinjani in Lombok... Its a very nice place.. To hike, even swimming at Sagara anak Lake.. hahaha..
You must try to go to lombok. About 3hours from international praya airport.
You can go to another place in lombok, like little island in Gili trawangan, Gili Air or Gili manu..
    Have great trip..

Hi Noenk, I visited the west coast of Lombok and Gilis many years ago but didn't go up Mt Rinjani. Will do at some point.

You have to go to Mt Rinjani. Unless you dont have many times in Lombok. Spending 5 days and 4nights..
2 days For reaching peak and 2 days for spending time in Sagara anak and getting down.
1 day left.. Use a half a day for exploring gili trawangan..
And going home to jakarta using last flight..

    Hi Noenk,
Distant but happy memories of Indonesia.
Must get out the photo albums again
Sumatra, Java and Bali done very slowly along roads???? Deep in mud, no tourists, no developed beach resorts, quiet villages and friendly people.
Staying with locals beside white beaches, warm blue seas, freshly caught fish, cooked on open fires at sunset.....
    Heavenly days.
    A dollar a day.......
