Well after making a few posts i thought ishould say hi. i am a keen walker and camping out, wild camp if poss, and anywhere from my home back in Exeter, to trips away. And soon to be working near Aberdeen and looking forward to explooring the Cairngorms. Like many i have a bad bad addiction to lightweight gear! I am using Shewies list to create my current gear and pack outs to share with everyone, as always open to suggestions.

Currently I am waiting on finding a new UL overnight pack to use. But it needs to be long back length so it takes a while to find one SH or pul lthe trigger on a new Arc Blast!

Hiya - not many SW folk here I think
I'm not far away - near Sidmouth

If you want to try a Gossamer Gear Mariposa size L for back length give me a shout.

Thanks Mole, very kind of you. I have been looking at the GG range, and they look well made. Next time I am down if I haven't got anything I wil lgive you a shout perhaps. i work away so mainly back at weekends to get out on the moor.

well, I am out on the moor at least fortnightly in winter to spring (Ten Tors training) so you never know - we might bump into each other.

How do you travel to Aberdeen - fly?
Looking to get to the gorms sometime - train is often a lottery to get a decent priced fare

I am marshalling for the Ten Tors again this year, I was on Rough Tor last year, busy to say the least! I will be flying to Aberdeen yes, the flights are much more reasonable than driving. Around £60 Ea way. Once I am up there later this year, I will arrange some trips perhaps, and can meet people from the Airport.
