Is there import tax and charges for stuff delivered from Japan? Looking at ordering a 1ltr pasta pot and I've seen it 20/30 quid cheaper from there. Just want to gauge if its actually worth it in the long run

It's been hit and miss from Japan for me, somethings have sneaked through without charges whilst others haven't, I got stung really bad on my Khufu import

Seem to be just under a tenner vat (£56 delivered then, not to shabby), doesn't mention handling charges, will RM or whoever's add another 8/10 quid on top as well?

Had the same with my scarps, the 1 got through free The 2, i took the full wrath of god. Then on an xmid I got stung £20 more than most

I've bought Evernew titanium stuff twice direct from PlazaJapan. Got hit by import/handling each time, but in total was still significantly cheaper than any UK price.

Just looking at them on ebay, didn't the pasta pot used to have a bulbous base? Or was that something else?

Glad you mentioned plaza Japan, wasnt 100% sure about the site tbh I was looking at them a week or so back on there but they seem to be out of stock just now, was going to do ebay instead

Is that factoring in the discount from basecamp foods? Does that apply to pots?

I purchased this pot on amazon a while back, not exactly a litre but it's served me well even with two people. Pretty good deal. There are even cheaper options from lixada and boundless voyage also on amazon with a bail handle.
