As it's all backpacking but with hammock kit we should be able to encompass most of it within the existing forums, if it's hammock technique that can be covered in hammock kit, piccys and social stuff in the trips reports & general chat etc, a hammock is just a shelter choice at the end of the day.
I want the forum to be focused on backpacking, whether that's ground dwelling or hanging, I'm wary of breaking things down too much and the forum getting messy.

It's just I've got a couple of Google maps I fancy sharing. Not sure it's appropriate here. One is a list of the locations of commercial campsites that are suitable for hammock camping. The other started as a location map for UK hammock forum members, but is now more a general map of hammockers, a tool to help organise meetups.

I wouldn't go that far. Kieran has paid for another year with the service hosting the site. He just hadn't done the re-write. He's p!$$€d away nearly two months of his subscription already! Just wish he'd delegate if he's too busy/over his head to get it done.

You could put the campsites into a thread in the Places & Planning section, I'm not sure a HFUK members map would be that useful here though

I think the forum software on there sucks big time. I lasted a week before the interface made me think 'lifes too short'
