    Morning all :)

I'm looking to replace my Roclite 295's for no real reason, well apart from i had to go two sizes up to get a pair that fit so they are a wee bit long in the foot. Any recommendations of what to get next? they would be used mainly for mountain walking and just general pottering around in when the terrain is a bit keek. Looked at trying to get another pair of the same just with a wider fitting but looks like the 295's are gone baby gone :(

    Fire away with your thoughts.

Much as I loved Inov8s, they no longer make them wide enough for my feet.

I'm using Altra King MT1.5s now.

Wide toe box is bliss. Sole unit good but prefer Inov8s soles.

Polyester upper requires the repeated application of a pin to improve drainage. Altra do other shoes with mesh uppers but once 'improved' these have lasted well, drain well and let in less fine grit than a mesh upper.

SS do them at a good price too.

Size up half a size on Inov8s.
    Mole and SteG like this.

+1 for Altras. I've had a pair of Altra 2's last me 2 x TGO Challenges and well over 500 miles local walking over lock-down. They're pretty worn and the tops are falling apart..... but, I have another pair of Altra 2's for more serious walking. Both were bought at half price. The wide foot box is great: no blisters and so comfy.
