Our post track snack because we couldn't wait till we got back to the hotel as it was a 2 hour drive after a huge walk 😄
One of the best pizzas we have ever had (Jo ate a full one 😱) over looking the North Atlantic ocean, from La Palma.

Fruit and nuts and salami sticks.
And a Snickers that gets taken for emergencies - gets squashed out of shape - doesn't get eaten and lives in the fridge until next time .......

Pocket meat, always pocket meat, often of the sausage roll variety that I've picked up at a train station at the start of the day.

Oatcakes and squeeze cheese, flapjacks, dried fruit, yogurt coated resins.
+1 for oatcakes and squirty cheese. Just bought another two 200g packets of Stockan's Orkney oatcakes (the best), and two tubes of Primula.
and
+1 for flapjack. Blueberry Belvitas are surprisingly good too, normally I would avoid stuff like that, but they hit the spot.

Oh yes, pocket meat too - devoured a Sheriff Sausage Roll from the farm shop at Tebay Services whilst walking in the rain down the boggy Glenderamackin valley on Saturday - just the thing!
And I am lucky enough to have an award winning pie maker in the town where I live!

Dried mango or pineapple is nice if I have some.
Failing that, something like a mars bar or cake to get the blood sugar up.

I used to carry a Soreen or two, but no longer because they're heavy for what you're getting.

Oatcakes plus Cheese (real cheese, not squirty - the right variety keeps okay for a few days)
Trail Mix of nuts, seeds, apricots and crystallised ginger)
Salt & Vinegar Crisps
Couple of thingy bars (whatever's on special offer)
Jerky

I can’t believe there’s only one malt loaf aficionado in the thread so far. Where are my people?

Current favourite trail snack is custard creams. I am aiming to become the first woman to eat a custard cream at the summit of every Munro.
Borders Ginger biscuits are also very nice.

Make my own trail mix, baby bell, peperami, plain chocolate (in winter). Haribos.
I also have a compo rice pudding at bottom of rucksack in case of emergency.
