Hi, I would like to purchase one of these 2 tents, and i like to know which one you would choose?

Use the tent mainly in Europe, so count on wind and rain.

I’m pleased to hear your choice and the reasons why and then hope to be able to make the right choice, because they are of course both seriously good tents.

Ultamid 2 because it'll be better in the wind. You're doing the Cape Wrath trail in Scotland, right? It's windy there.

The Strat Li can handle serious weather and wind.

I've actually used one.....

Think I'd prefer a Strat Li of the 2.

For liveability.

Solid inner, 2 doors and porches. Patched all in one.

Used a Strat 2 on sections of the CRT and higher hills. Used a fair amount in Scotland


Though the ultamid seems a pretty solid choice

We have a sil pyramid. It's a different experience than the Stratospire, which is more like a traditional tent in use.

I have one; not a fan of reviews - but if you have any Qs?

Used it for around 5 weeks in the Pyrenees last summer.

I've been trying to think of questions and reading reviews to prompt my brain into a really good incisive question, but my brain is a dull instrument so I can't think of any other than:

- what would you change to improve the tent?
- what was the competition pre-purchase?
- would you you buy the Stratospire Li again or something else?

I am pretty sold on one I must say, they seem roomy, storm worthy, practical and as light as you can reasonably expect from a 2P tent.

Where did you buy yours. if you don't mind me asking? I am torn between trying to find one and waiting for Tarptent to re-stock. It is hard is waiting!

I have the version with single zip pull doors; I'd change that but they already did. I'd prefer it in 0.7 DCF.
No competition really - we have a Strat 1 & 2 so already sold on the design.
I'd buy it again. For now.

Thank you - I can't see any competition at the moment other than possibly the X-Mid 2 in dcf... but that doesn't exist yet!
