Excellent account with some really atmospheric images....there was not as much snow as I thought.

But my cowardice knows no bounds :D

Thanks Ed, glad you enjoyed it. It only needs a bit of snow to be slippery and it's never wrong to be careful.

Some fantastic pics there willie, enjoyed reading that.

I seem to have a problem scrolling on that Spark Adobe. The vertical scroll bar does not take single clicks so i have to drag down very carefully. Same in FF and Chrome.

Fabulous panoramic pictures in there, Willie - viewed them on a big screen to appreciate their impact.
It’s sad to see the peat hags above Glen Mazeran still dry though.

    Lovely read, thank you

Thank you. I've no idea why it wouldn't scroll well on your device.

Thanks jj. It does feel wrong to see them so dessicated even though it makes life easier walking through them. I was hardly muddy at all this year compared to normal.

It's also fine swiping the screen on an Android tablet but to appreciate how good these pics are you really have to see them on a bigger screen :)

Ditto to the positive comments above. I love the larger photos, and the way you can enlarge (slightly) the smaller ones; on some blogs the photos are too small to appreciate them properly.

Enjoyed that very much - I might be tempted into doing a Challenge yet :angelic:.

Thanks for the positive comments everyone. William I chose to make some of the photos small just to break it up a bit. Cathy and Phil - come and do it, it's great fun.

Very enjoyable, thank you for that. I looked at doing the challenge when I was a teenager but didn't make it happen. Now in my 50's I should probably do something about that :)

Or like me finish your thesis on procrastination and submit for a PhD. I'm 61 and have been going to do the Pennine Way since I was 15 at school in Hope, just 2 miles from the start.

Just picked up on this. A nice way to take a break in the day and read through. You did a nice high level route there. Nice words and recollections. Some of those images looked almost summer. Where did it go... he says writing this with cold hands!
