Its one of my favourites

Although i had a mare at weekend,

I forgot my spare socks, and my Metformin.

Then when i went to blow up my xtherm the cable i had didnt fit my new power bank, so had to do that by mouth 🤣

you often get hard raised creases in DCF, the important thing is whether the film is intact or not. Its usually completely straight across the film . I saw the video and it doesnt correspond to anything ive come across even allowing for bias cutting panels so likely Oddman is correct that a crease in the films occured. That will knock the aligned dcf fibres into a hat and lead to what is effectively over roving so you get solid dyneema lines. The biggest issue is that it will attract more abrasion in the raised area ( to a low extent given its a tent ). ultimately its not huge but pinholes will occur faster in that area over time as its not as uniform or flexible. DCF is also folded into 4 on the roll so you get broadly get a 4 ply 10 yard sandwich. the central crease is alo often very stiff. (i cut it away)

bottom line - will rob you of confidence in the tent so send back

edit and i would have seen that if id read page 2 (doh)

yep that goes along with the advice i had sought from other dcf experts, they also mentioned bugs lol

just to update,

i have returned the tent and received a refund on the original payment, just waiting on the dcf up charge to come back

so all ends well
Just as a matter of interest, is there a reason that you didn't go for the standard silpoly version?

dunno

my poles were just chucked in the box with the tent, not wrapped inside the tent or its stuff sack,
